Myriad has performed well in the UK, especially in Northern regions where it has it’s highest yields and possesses good agronomic attributes combined with OWBM resistance. The variety is suitable for the distilling and soft UKS wheat export market. AHDB RL data suggests that Myriad also performs well when later sown.
Myriad is a soft textured wheat with good overall physical grain quality. It has a good Hagberg falling number for its nabim group and a high specific weight. Myriad has good sprouting resistance compared to all other soft wheats – a desirable trait for Northern growers.
