After a much delayed spring in many parts of the country, we are at last able to turn our thoughts to planting decisions for 2016.
The experiences of the past season will be a big influence; as will the stubbornly low commodity prices, which weather permitting, look like continuing.
The wet and mild winter has affected both the Winter Wheat and Oilseed Rape crops. Disease levels in both crops have been high, giving little margin for error in the application of prophylactic fungicides. Surely higher disease levels will drive further demand for more resistant varieties. Lower commodity prices always encourage take up of varieties with a premium potential, as well as the need to reduce or manage input costs. It seems that these will be the big issues of 2016.
The downloadable Growers Guides for the Limagrain Wheat and Oilseeds product portfolio below provide useful technical information on the key varieties from the LG portfolio, including our new Candidate varieties.
We hope you will find these useful publications.
